After the Prince of Stan's failed invasion of Chicken Island, he listens to a story from the past.
Twenty years ago, Stan was already at war with Xuanwu. Mo Lang lives west of Xuanwu, in Niuzhan with his best friend Bai Qi, where they live peaceful lives as a cowherd and an inventor. When a Shadow Killer comes in search of a legendary weapon, they leave home to get stronger. Along the way, they pass through several different countries, and unexpectedly get involved with both sides of the war.
